Wheeljack/Que Gallery

"Transformers Dark of the Moon's Wheeljack - known as Autobot Que on screen and in Japan - is one of a pair of toys that were slated for the ill-fated last assortment of the Dark of the Moon toyline. Never released at US retail, the toy has only seen release in Japan, and there's a limited release due to hit Asia any day now - and with that new release, we thought now would be a great time to share with you our gallery of this toy; to demonstrate why it's such a shame this one never got a wider release. Don't get me wrong - he's far from flawless as toys go, but Wheeljack's toy is a great representation of the onscreen character, has stacks of accessories, and is just fun to fiddle about with." (1)

Arms Micron Photos - Bulkhead, Arcee, and EZ Collection Wheeljack

"These photos detail the voyager-sized Bulkhead, deluxe-sized Arcee, and the EZ Collection (the equivalent of Legends in the US) Wheejlack. The Japanese editions comes with the Arms Microns and also some labels, and these photos allows us to see these figures sans labels. A careful eye will note the lack of paint applications that the US versions have and just how much these depend on the labels to enhance the look. Also noteworthy is that Bulkhead and Arcee do not sport shiny plastic as some fans thought with the original promotion photos"

You can check out all the photos over on TFW2005

Transformers Prime Optimus Maximus review

"The Transformers Prime Cyberverse series is bringing back that mightiest of Transformers - the massive Citybots! Back in Generation 1 these were the likes of Metroplex, Trypticon and Fortress Maximus, huge robots capable of transforming into bases for the smaller toys, and equally big battle station modes."

"Recently released in Singapore, the Transformers Prime Cyberverse Optimus Maximus is a return to this concept. He's a big robot version of Optimus Prime capable of transforming into a battle station which can seat up to nine Cyberverse toys! Is this a return to the form of the original Citybots, or just one that's strictly for the kids? Fortunately you only need to read on to find out, as 2005 Boards member pingth has bought an Optimus Maximus and has very kindly provided us with the first review of this new Transformers base-bot!"

You can check out the full review over on TFW2005.

Homemade Transformer

A Japanese enthusiast has built a homemade real-life Transformer. The size of a model radio-controlled car and using 22 servo motors for the joints, it can literally change from a car into a warrior bot and back in a matter of seconds, looking very cool while transforming. It can also do some funky moves while in "humanoid" form, too.

This is a version 8 model and a version 9 is in the works, which will be very interesting to see. The number plate has the name "Kenji Ishida", which is presumably the name of the enthusiast who made it.

Ken talks Prima

"This was a fun job! I got to do final concept images for 11 of the 13 Primes, for Hasbro, Inc"

"Again, working with Eric Siebenaler, I began a bunch of pencil sketches, but one clearly stood out, and it's basically a rough pencil version of what's above. I themed him in a loose Samurai style, and reversed engineered details from Optimus Prime, to make that visual connection, as a descendant in the Prime Line. He was nicknamed the Warrior of Light, so we went with a really ornate style, with the piped lighting over a quasi-mother of pearl armor. The similar cues from Optimus only number a few, but are pretty overt - the facemask, helmet spikes, split chest 'windows', and I managed to put a G1 cue in there, the two bands over a triangle on the forearm. The sword was a joint design effort, Eric had sketched out the two-bladed idea, with the Matrix in the hilt, so I basically redesigned it to fit the look of the character/armor." (1)

"T" quadrilogy and Toxicity details

Duane Capizzi (Co-Executive Producer and Head Writer) talks Transformers Prime "T" quadrilogy made up of Tunnel vision, Triangulation, Triage and Toxicity;

"We thought it would be interesting to use a “real time” structure, and pair off the characters in a way that would allow us to explore specific relationships more deeply. We’ve done “epic” – now we're hoping to be both epic and intimate at the same time.

It had been a while since we checked in with the Teens on a more human, interpersonal level (hence ‘TunnelVision’); felt the need to explore issues of “allegiance” via Dreadwing and Starscream (in ‘Triangulation’); as for ‘Triage’ which you are about to see – we were and still are VERY excited about teaming Wheeljack with Ratchet, and bringing Soundwave to the forefront once again in a compelling way; as for the final part in our ‘T’ quadrilogy, know that repercussions from the events of this four-parter will continue to be felt throughout the remainder of the season…"

Along with this the plot for Toxicity has been revealed;

"Bulkhead is faced with life-threatening danger during the last relic hunt"

Ken Christiansen`s Cybertron

Artist Ken Christiansen has update his blog, Bad Flip Productions, with an image of Cybertron he created for Hasbro's Transformers Dark of the Moon marketing campaign. Only the top third of the image made onto the "Power of the Primes" displays that showed up at Wal-Mart.

"Not totally accurate with how it appeared in the film - but it was for Hasbro's toy marketing, and I think it works as a pretty cool toy version of movie Cybertron." (1)
