Transformers Fall of Cybertron - No more DLC?

High Moon Studios, the creators behind the popular and successful Transformers Fall of Cybertron game stated in a Q&A Thursday that they are not planning any future downloadable content for Fall of Cybertron.

The statement is as quoted below:

Can you add more colors and characters?

Unfortunatly not. Each color, new character, or really anything that gets added puts demands on what the game can support technically. At this point with the largest roster of Tranformer characters ever and dozens of colors we have reached the limit. Sorry Sludge fans!

Will you be adding any DLC maps?

A number of our fans have expressed an interst in buying DLC maps, however we feel this will have a negative impact a player's ability to quickly find a full match. This is a major learning we made from War For Cybertron. The addition of paid DLC maps splits the player community between those with the maps and those without.

This is obviously a huge disappointment for those who have been playing the game on a regular basis and enjoying it, but have started reaching the end-game limits. Many fans have questioned if games such as the Halo franchise can release map packs for over a year after the game is released, and Left 4 Dead 2 can continue to release new campaigns and multiplayer maps years after the game was released, why can't High Moon Studios do the same with Transformers Fall of Cybertron?

Transformers 4; Female lead, Wahlberg confirmed, Dont trust Bay

In a rather logical chain of events based on Michael bay, Mark Wahlberg has been rumored, denied and now confirmed to star in Transformers 4 which has now released a new logo (Above)
Also, here is all the facts on the Mark Wahlberg casting

I have tried keeping a fair opinion on Michael Bay for a while however have realised he is simply playing with fans knowing that it annoys them while getting enjoyment from causing them emotional/mental pain.

Due to understanding Michaels level of enjoyment i shall not be confirming or denying anything he states and instead use other sources to logically examine if the content is honestly going to be included in the fourth film.

Other rumors released recently include the main character being female with a 'jock' style car racing boyfriend.

Mini-Series
Darkness Rising - Part 1
In Jasper, Nevada, three young humans - Jack Darby, Miko Nakadai and Rafael Esquivel - are accidentally caught in the crossfire in a fight between giant, mechanical aliens that transform into ordinary vehicles. The three kids are taken to the base of the Autobots, where the Autobot leader Optimus Prime explains that he and his team are a race of autonomous robotic organisms from the far-off planet Cybertron, and they are fighting over their life-source, Energon, with the Decepticons, with whom they once had a war with.

Darkness Rising - Part 2
The Decepticon leader Megatron returns from a three-year exile with a plan to exploit the properties of a mysterious substance called "Dark Energon", which has the ability to turn the bodies of dead Transformers into zombies. The Autobots storm an Energon mine in search of their lost comrade Cliffjumper, only to discover that his dead body has been revived as a ravenous zombie by Dark Energon.

Dark Rising - Part 3
Optimus Prime and Ratchet head out to investigate Megatron's activities while Arcee and Bumblebee go on patrol, leaving Bulkhead with Jack, Miko and Rafael at the base. Meanwhile, Soundwave kidnaps the Autobot-allied human Agent William Fowler, with Starscream wishing to learn the location of the Autobot base.

 Darkness Rising - Part 4
Bulkhead, Arcee and Bumblebee sneak on to the Decepticon warship, the Nemesis, to rescue Agent Fowler, while Optimus Prime and Ratchet fight off Megatron and a horde of Dark Energon zombies.

Darkness Rising - Part 5
With the Decepticons completing their Space Bridge to Cybertron, Optimus Prime and the Autobots race to stop Megatron from opening the Bridge and bringing forth a vast army of Dark Energon zombies from the Transformers' dead home planet.

Season 1
Masters and Students
Following Megatron's supposed death at the end of "Darkness Rising", Starscream appoints himself as the new Decepticon leader. However, to his annoyance, he finds that the troops don't respect him as much as they did Megatron and are weary towards him becoming leader. In order to gain their respect, Starscream awakens Skyquake, a legendary Decepticon warrior who was entombed in stasis on Earth for centuries, and attempts to recruit him into his new army. Meanwhile, Ratchet agrees to help Jack, Miko and Rafael with their school science projects, with explosive results.

Scrapheap
While on a scouting mission in the Arctic, Bulkhead and Bumblebee find a crashed space pod buried in the ice. They bring it back to base for examination, and Optimus Prime and Arcee venture out into the Arctic to find clues on the pod's origin. While they are out, the other Autobots discover that the pod contains a large swarm of Scraplets, a vicious and highly dangerous form of Cybertronian wildlife that eats metal. The Scraplets infest the Autobot base, devouring any metal in sight and damaging the Ground Bridge, leaving Optimus and Arcee stranded in the Arctic.

Con Job
The Autobots receive a message from Wheeljack, an old friend of Bulkhead's from the days of the war, who is visiting Earth while journeying across the galaxy. Upon picking up the message's signal, Starscream and Soundwave capture Wheeljack before he can meet the Autobots, and they send in Makeshift, a Decepticon spy able to take on any form, disguised as Wheeljack to discover the location of the Autobot base.

Convoy
Agent Fowler asks for the Autobots' assistance in transporting a powerful nuclear device to a military base, but since sending such a device through the Ground Bridge could be potentially dangerous, they have to travel by road. Along the way, the Autobots are ambushed by M.E.C.H., a terrorist organization who wish to steal the nuclear device and use it for their own nefarious purposes.

Deus Ex Machina
The Autobots discover that an Energon Harvester, an ancient and powerful device from Cybertron's distant past, is on display in a museum, and they attempt to retrieve it with Jack, Miko and Rafael's aid before it falls into the wrong hands. Starscream also learns of the Harvester's whereabouts, and he sends Soundwave, along with new Decepticons Knock Out and Breakdown, to obtain it.

Speed Metal
In an attempt to get even with school bully Vince, as well as impress his crush Sierra, Jack convinces Bumblebee to help him win an illegal street race. However, things go awry when Knock Out gets involved in the action, kidnapping Vince in the belief that he is Bumblebee's human partner.

Predatory
Jack accompanies Arcee on a routine scouting mission in a forest, where they discover a crashed space ship in a clearing. They soon discover that the owner of the ship, the deadly and ruthless Decepticon Airachnid, is still prowling the forest in search of a human to hunt, putting Jack in danger.

Sick Mind
While exploring the wreckage of a crashed Autobot spaceship in a desert, Optimus Prime is infected with Cybonic Plague, a deadly virus that leaves him in a critical condition and close to death. Arcee and Bumblebee sneak on to the Nemesis in order to find a cure for the virus, but during their search they make a shocking discovery...

Out Of His Head
Following the events of the previous episode, Megatron's subconscious has mistakenly downloaded into Bumblebee's head. Megatron manipulates Bumblebee's mind in a plan to return to his original body and reclaim Decepticon leadership. Meanwhile, Starscream steals the lens from a powerful space telescope and attempts to use it to melt through Arctic ice to gain access to an underground Energon deposit.

Shadowzone
After successfully returning to full health, Megatron severely beats Starscream for his treachery. Angered by this turn of events, Starscream attempts to use a shard of Dark Energon to revive the dead body of Skyquake. His plan is foiled by the Autobots though, and both they and Starscream request a Ground Bridge at the same time (the Autobots upon discovering that Miko has followed them through onto the battlefield). As a result, two Ground Bridges appear at once, causing a malfunction that leaves Jack, Miko and Rafael in a parallel dimension, along with the revived and zombified body of Skyquake.

Operation: Breakdown
During a fight with Bulkhead in an abandoned town, Breakdown is captured by M.E.C.H., who wish to dismantle him and research his inner workings for a project they refer to as "Project: Chimera". Optimus Prime and Starscream lead separate rescue missions to save Breakdown.

Crisscross
Airachnid teams up with M.E.C.H. in a plot to kidnap Jack's mother, June, intending to use her as bait to lure Jack and Arcee to M.E.C.H.'s hideout, so Arcee can be captured and used in M.E.C.H.'s experiments.

Metal Attraction
Bulkhead and Arcee, with Miko tagging along, are sent on a reconnaissance mission to investigate a bizarre energy signal. They discover that the signal is coming from a Polarity Gauntlet, a weapon that manipulates magnetic fields, however, they soon come into conflict with Breakdown and Airachnid, who both want the Gauntlet for themselves.

Rock Bottom
Bulkhead, Arcee, Jack and Miko investigate an old Decepticon Energon mine that was supposedly stripped clean. Megatron and Starscream arrive shortly after, with Megatron accusing Starscream of hoarding Energon, and revealing that he knows about Starscream's other treacherous acts. Megatron is about to kill his devious second-in-command when he notices Jack and Arcee, and immediately opens fire on them. This accidentally causes a massive cave-in, leaving everyone trapped inside the mine with no way out.

Partners
Megatron sends Starscream and Airachnid to the site of a crashed Decepticon ship to recover The Immobilizer, a powerful weapon with the ability to freeze Transformers in their tracks. But after the Autobots discover Starscream bound up in Airachnid's web, they are surprised when Starscream states that he wishes to join them...

T.M.I
Miko rushes out onto the battlefield during a fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons, who are fighting over a Data Cylinder, a device containing knowledge of Cybertronian society. As Miko attempts to push the Cylinder into an open Ground Bridge, she accidentally activates it, which downloads all of its information - in this case the formula for a Synthetic Energon - into Bulkhead's brain. Soon, Bulkhead begins to rhyme off the complicated formula, painting the equation on the walls, and Miko becomes scared when her friend's personality and memories begin to slip away.

Stronger, Faster
Following the events of the previous episode, Ratchet tests the Synthetic Energon formula from the Data Cylinder on engines. Feeling confident, he injects himself with the formula. At first the results are positive, with the formula greatly increasing Ratchet's strength, speed and agility. But before long, the formula starts to have negative effects on his personality.

One Shall Fall
Optimus Prime recites a passage from the Covenant of Primus, detailing a doomsday prophecy connected to Earth and involving Megatron. After Megatron attacks Rafael and Bumblebee, leaving Rafael unconscious and severely injured, Optimus realizes that he can't end the Autobot-Decepticon conflict diplomatically, and decides to confront Megatron and destroy him once and for all.

One Shall Rise - Part 1
Unicron the Chaos-Bringer, an ancient and malevolent being, awakens from the center of the Earth after millennia of stasis, causing an epidemic of natural disasters across the globe, and sending Dark Energon erupting from volcanoes. Optimus explains the history of Unicron and his battle with Primus, deducing that Unicron is actually the Earth's core, while Megatron attempts to pledge his allegiance to the Chaos-Bringer.

One Shall Rise - Part 2
After assisting the Autobots in a fight against an army of Unicron's stone avatars, Megatron forms an uneasy alliance with his enemies to defeat Unicron and save the Earth from destruction. The Autobots and Megatron then travel to the Earth's core, planning to send Unicron back into stasis using the Matrix of Leadership.

One Shall Rise - Part 3
While Ratchet tells Jack and the other humans about Optimus Prime's history on Cybertron, the battle begins at the Earth's core, with Megatron and the Autobots battling against Unicron's bat-like anti-bodies to reach the Chaos-Bringer's spark chamber.

Season 2Orion Pax - Part 1
Following the events of the season 1 finale, Optimus Prime has lost all memory of ever being a Prime after using the Matrix of Leadership to send Unicron back into stasis; his memory has been reset to when he was still the data clerk Orion Pax. Megatron takes advantage of this, telling "Orion" that the Autobots are evil, taking him onto the Nemesis and setting him to work on a project deciphering Autobot enscriptions from the Iacon records. Back at base, the other Autobots are distraught at this turn of events, and upon discovering that Jack has the Key to Vector Sigma, they hatch a plan to get their leader back.

Orion Pax - Part 2
With the help of information from Starscream, the Autobots commandeer the Decepticon's Space Bridge to send Jack and Arcee to the Transformers' home world of Cybertron, with a plan to use the information stored in Vector Sigma to restore Optimus's memories. Meanwhile, after a run-in with Starscream, whom Megatron claimed was dead, "Orion" begins to wonder if Megatron is telling him the whole truth...

Orion Pax - Part 3
On Cybertron, while on their way to Vector Sigma, Jack and Arcee are attacked by a savage creature called an Insecticon, as well as a swarm of Scraplets. On the Nemesis, "Orion", becoming ever more curious about who he really is, begins to rebel against Megatron and uncover the elaborate lies put in front of him.

Operation Bumblebee - Part 1
While investigating an energy signal that could potentially lead to a relic from the Vaults of Iacon, Bumblebee is ambushed by M.E.C.H, who knock him out and steal his T-Cog, the device that allows Transformers to scan vehicle modes and transform. Discovering that he is no longer able to transform into vehicle mode, Bumblebee has no choice but to stay at base, which leaves him frustrated. Meanwhile, as M.E.C.H. attempts to use Bumblebee's T-Cog in one of their own robots, Starscream approaches their leader Silas and suggests an alliance with M.E.C.H., offering his knowledge and advice on Cybertronian technology and how it works.

Operation Bumblebee - Part 2
Ratchet, still feeling guilty about failing to repair Bumblebee's voice box during the war, volunteers to give Bumblebee his own T-Cog via transplant. The resulting operation is interrupted, however, when an alarm signals the discovery of another relic from the Vaults of Iacon, a legendary hammer known as the Forge of Solus Prime. While Optimus Prime, Bulkhead and Arcee are out retrieving the hammer, Agent Fowler calls the base to inform the Autobots of newly discovered coordinates to a M.E.C.H. hideout. Seeing an opportunity, Bumblebee storms the M.E.C.H. hideout on his own to get his T-Cog back.

Loose Cannons
Wheeljack returns to Earth in pursuit of the Decepticon Dreadwing, who is responsible for the death of the Autobot Seaspray (who was also a member of the Wreckers), and asks for Team Prime's help in apprehending the Decepticon. While Bulkhead is naturally excited about seeing his best friend again, Optimus Prime quickly becomes annoyed with Wheeljack's reckless and aggressive manner and disregard for civilians.

Crossfire
Megatron sends Airachnid, Breakdown and Dreadwing on the trail of a potential Energon source, but what Airachnid doesn't know is that Dreadwing and Breakdown have actually been ordered to kill her for potential treachery. She soon catches wind of this though, killing Breakdown and running off into the woods. Upon arriving at an abandoned Energon mine, Airachnid finds Starscream cowering from a large Insecticon. She uses her abilities to control the creature and calls Megatron to challenge him to a fight to the death, planning to use the Insecticon to kill Megatron so she can claim Decepticon leadership.

Nemesis Prime
M.E.C.H. produces a clone of Optimus Prime, which Miko off-handedly names Nemesis Prime, and sets it loose on a military base, where it proceeds to wreak havoc. The United States Military immediately blames the real Optimus for the chaos, and they order the Autobots be shot on sight. While Agent Fowler tries to convince his superiors that Optimus did not attack the base, the Autobots try to track down Nemesis Prime and clear their names.

Grill
Following from the events of the previous episode, Agent Fowler is sat down to explain recent events to his superior, the cynical and disbelieving General Bryce. Threatened with a military tribunal and Team Prime's termination, Fowler tries to convince the General that the Autobots are still on the military's side, but the General believes that Optimus Prime went rogue and has perished, failing to fully understand that Nemesis Prime was not the real Optimus.

Armada
Bulkhead accidentally becomes trapped on board the Decepticon warship, the Nemesis, while on a scouting mission, and tries to escape without being discovered. Meanwhile, Starscream and Airachnid both send their newly gained armies (Starscream's being five clones of himself, and Airachnid's being an enormous swarm of Insecticons) to the Nemesis, both with the order to kill Megatron.

Flying Mind
Following the events of the previous episode, the Nemesis has crashed on a mountainside and its engines are badly damaged. Megatron attempts to restart the engines with Dark Energon, which works, but has an unexpected side effect: the ship develops a mind of its own and starts to rebel against its own crew. With the ship flying out of control and both the Autobots and Decepticons frozen in stasis, Jack, Miko, Rafael and Agent Fowler are left as the only ones who can stop the ship's rampage.

Tunnel Vision
Having discovered the locations of four relics from the Vaults of Iacon hidden across the globe, the Autobots split up into small groups and head to each location simultaneously to retrieve them. Arcee, Bumblebee, Jack and Miko travel to New York City to find the first relic, a Phase Shifter, a device that enables its user to walk through solid objects, which is buried deep in the city's underground subway tunnels. During their search however, Arcee and Bumblebee are attacked by Knock Out and an Insecticon.

Triangulation
Taking place at the same time as "Tunnel Vision", Optimus Prime is in Antarctica on the hunt for the second Iacon relic, the Apex Armor, a full-body suit of indestructible armor that expands from a small disc. However, he comes into conflict with both Dreadwing and Starscream during his search, and he is forced to form an uneasy alliance with Dreadwing when Starscream dons the Armor and threatens them both.

Triage
Taking place at the same time as "Tunnel Vision" and "Triangulation", Ratchet reluctantly calls upon Wheeljack for back-up in his mission to retrieve the third Iacon relic, a sonic weapon called the Resonance Blaster. On their way to the location, the two Autobots are attacked by Soundwave, but Wheeljack manages to shoot down and disable Soundwave's surveillance drone Laserbeak, which gives Ratchet an idea. While Wheeljack and Soundwave fight over the Resonance Blaster, Ratchet uploads a virus into Laserbeak that will download the Iacon Database into the Autobot Base's computers without the Decepticons noticing.

Toxicity
Taking place at the same time as "Tunnel Vision", "Triangulation" and "Triage", Bulkhead goes to a volcanic island on the Equator to find the fourth and final Iacon relic. But to his horror, he discovers that the relic is a piece of Tox-En, a form of highly toxic Energon that is lethal to Transformers and was once used as a biological weapon during the war. As Bulkhead tries to dispose of the Tox-En by throwing it into a volcano, he is confronted by a group of Insecticons led by Hardshell.

Hurt
Bulkhead is left in a critical condition and on the verge of death after his fight with the Insecticons and exposure to Tox-En. As he lies in stasis and the other Autobots monitor him, Wheeljack and Miko angrily head out to find Hardshell and exact revenge for what has happened. Meanwhile, Knock Out tries to convince Megatron that the Insecticons are a danger to the rest of the crew after Hardshell attacks a pair of troopers.

Out Of The Past
An angry Miko storms outside the base from being annoyed by the slow process of Bulkhead's recovery. She is joined by Arcee, who shares the story of how she and her old partner Cliffjumper first came to Earth: Arcee and Cliffjumper were captured and brought to Kaon by Starscream, interrogated by the Decepticon scientist Shockwave, and uncovered Shockwave's plan to build a Space Bridge. Miko and Arcee share from their respective experiences that they should not be distant from others because of the trauma induced from losing a fighting partner.

New Recruit
During a fight with the Decepticons, the Autobots are unexpectedly aided by Smokescreen, a young and adventurous Autobot. Despite Arcee and Ratchet's distrust in the newcomer, Optimus Prime invites Smokescreen to the base for further training. Later, Starscream and the Autobots fight for Red Energon, which grants the consumer enhanced agility. The Autobots return to the base, where Optimus Prime welcomes Smokescreen as the newest member of the group, leaving a still-injured Bulkhead to fear of being replaced.

The Human Factor
Silas is merged with Breakdown's body as a result of a biotech surgery performed by the M.E.C.H. surgeon. With the new body, he terminates his crew, then confronts Megatron for a position in the Decepticon ranks, promising to aid their cause with Project Damocles, to create a satellite enabled to fire a particle beam with precision to any given location on Earth. Raf, however, manages to hack the system, leading the project to failure. Megatron calls Silas back to his warship, and orders him to be dissected by Knock Out.

Legacy
The Autobots are led astray with a decoy pot from the Decepticons for Megatron to retrieve a new relic, until Ratchet informs the rest of the crew of the real location containing the actual relic, the Star Saber. The relic is lodged in a mountain, and it can be removed only by an Autobot leader, a "Prime". The Autobots eventually arrive at the location. Optimus Prime is able to wield its power and send a powerful attack to the Decepticon's warship. Back at the base, Optimus Prime receives an incoming message from Alpha Trion via the Star Saber.

Alpha; Omega
Alpha Trion informs Optimus Prime about the last four remaining relics left in play, those being the Omega Keys capable of regenerating Cybertron through the Star Saber across the ages. Megatron goes to Cybertron and desecrates a sacred tomb of an unidentified Prime along with his second in command, Dreadwing, to obtain it's hand so he can master the Forge of Solus Prime. After using the Forge of Solus Prime to create the Dark Star Saber from a chunk of Dark Energon, he challenges Optimus Prime to a battle in which the Star Saber's blade is broken remaining only his hilt. This unwittingly allows Smokescreen to retrieve the Omega Key with some help from the Phase Shifter and he and Optimus return to the Autobot base. Smokescreen receives the Phase Shifter as his permanent weapon but looks at the Star Saber in despair, before being cheered up by Ratchet telling him that Prime does not need it to be the mightiest warriors.

Hard Knocks
When Optimus determines the whereabouts of the second Omega Key, Bumblebee and Arcee attend to the destination to retrieve it. But Knock Out, wielding the Resonance Blaster, gets there first and recovers the key. Similarly, Bulkhead and Smokescreen head out to find the third Omega Key, but Starscream, equipped with Red Energon, knocks out Smokescreen from behind and takes the key. The final relic is discovered to be inside Smokescreen himself. Soundwave manages to kidnap him and accordingly retrieve the fourth key.

Inside Job
After Smokescreen is brought on board the Nemesis, Megatron learns that the final Omega Key is within the young Autobot. Despite this, Smokescreen manages to not only steal the second Omega Key, but retrieve both the fourth Omega Key and his Phase Shifter back from Knock Out and Megatron and escape the ship. Later, however, Starscream uses his new speed power ,courtesy of the single dose of Red Energon, to sneak into the base and steal the remaining Omega Keys, giving him all four keys. He sneaks his way onto the Nemesis and presents the Omega Keys to Megatron as a peace offering.

Patch
Starscream approaches Megatron with the four Omega Keys, proposing a truce with the Decepticons. Skeptical, Megatron orders Knock Out to set up a cortical psychic patch in order to discover Starscream's true intentions within his memories. However, despite the past events revealed to him, in the end Megatron allows Starscream to rejoin the Decepticons, for every member's participation is imperative in aiding the leader's cause of conquering Cybertron.

Regeneration
Dreadwing offers the Forge of Solus Prime to the Autobots, and Optimus Prime uses the relic to upgrade the Autobots' ground bridge into a space bridge, enabling direct transport to Cybertron. Then on the Nemesis, Dreadwing tries to kill Starscream after his T-Cog is installed, but Megatron kills him for disobeying his order to stand down. The Autobots race to the Omega Lock on Cybertron, defeating Megatron's army of troopers along the way while regaining all four keys.

Darkest Hour
The Autobots are forced to surrender all their weapons and the Keys in exchange for the humans. Megatron then puts the Omega Lock to use, initially to reform the war-torn Cybertron, but then also to convert Earth into a new metal planet, at which point Optimus is forced to destroy the Omega Lock. The Autobots retreat back to Earth, but the Decepticons have discovered the Autobot base's location, as a new dark citadel had been created in front of it.

Transformers Fact File: Sentinel Prime

Sentinel Prime is voice by Leonard Nimoy.

Sentinel Prime personified what a leader should be: wise, compassionate, and a more than worthy warrior. Revered by both Autobot and Decepticon, few would dare stand against his shield and Primax Blade.

While Sentinel was presumably lost forever on board the Ark, Optimus Prime, his hand-picked successor, was left to fill his void. The loss of Sentinel signaled the end of Cybertron's golden age, and the planet spiraled deeper into war.

Some who recall Sentinel's reign bitterly remember when Transformers were masters of their fate, rather than scattered to the stars and living as exiles. Above all, Sentinel Prime is a staunch nationalist. He loves his home planet with all of his Spark and will do anything- even go to extremes- to protect it.

Michael Bay Talks TF4

With "Transformers: The Ride-3D" now open at Universal Studios Hollywood, film franchise director Michael Bay stopped by the ride and spoke with The LA Times about his plans for his fourth -- and, as he stated recently final -- Transformers film, set to hit theatres on June 27, 2014.

"It's not a reboot," Bay said, reiterating that the new film will have an all-new cast. "That's maybe the wrong word. I don't want to say 'reboot' because then people will think we're doing a 'Spider-Man' and starting from the beginning. We're not. We're taking the story that you've seen the story we've told in three movies already and we're taking it in a new direction. But we're leaving those three as the history. It all still counts... We're moving on to something different"

Though the script, currently being drafted by Ehren Kruger, is not yet final, Bay hints that one place the fourth film may go is into outer space. "That feels like the way to go, doesn't it?" says Bay. "I want to go a little off [the planet] but I don't want to go too sci-fi. I still want to keep it grounded."

No matter what, Bay says that one element of the new production is to scale back the budget somewhat to around $165 million, about $30 million less than 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Transformers 4; Michael Bay's Last, Featuring Robot Cast Redesign

An interesting snippet from a larger article on Transformers the Ride posted on LATimes' Hero Complex gives a small insight into what lies in store with Transformers 4. Apparently Transformers 4 will feature a redesign of the robots and an entirely new (human?) cast. Michael Bay has also said that he intends for this movie to be his last, to set things up for "the next guy".

Granted, we have heard that before, because in the production of Transformers Dark of the Moon, Michael Bay had stated he intended that to be his last, and even before that, during Revenge of the Fallen Mr Bay had said he intended to take some time out before making the third movie. Neither of these possibilities materialized, so take this claim that Transformers 4 will be his last one with a pinch of salt.

That being said, how does a redesign of the robot cast grab you? Dark of the Moon already featured a move to more "heroic" proportions on Optimus Prime with his new abs - will it be a case of more tweaking of designs familiar to audiences the world over, or perhaps a more dramatic shake-up?

Be sure to check out the full article on LATimes.

Fall of Cybertron Matt Tieger Q&A

With E3 in full swing the new Transformers Fall of Cybertron news is coming in thick and fast. Matt Tieger has been answering fan questions on the Playstation Blog, with some interesting points coming out, such as:

  • Big Bots - The response has been good to Bruticus and the other big guys. Matt Tieger says though that we have not discussed all of them yet.
  • The story - It's official canon, created in partnership with Hasbro, the official story of the departure from Cybertron. Matt believes it fits with any part of the franchise, so it is being kept open presumably.
  • The length of the campaign - Gameplay length is actually longer than WFC.
  • The G1 Optimus Prime unlock - The Generation 1 Optimus Prime character is a complete new model, not just a skin. He's the only classic unlock that Matt Tiger can confirm, and it was done as something special for the fans picking the game up on day 1.
  • Collector's Edition - High Moon Studios are aware of the demand though there are no current plans for a Collector’s Edition. Matt Tieger sees each copy as special.
  • Is Ultra Magnus in Fall of Cybertron? - In Matt's own words, "I can say that Hasbro has confirmed an Ultra Magnus toy. That could be a hint about his role in game."

  • There are traps, which can be used to set up ambushes for enemies.

Brain damaged Transformers Extra Gets $18 Million

"A "Transformers 3" extra who suffered severe brain damage after the cable holding her stunt car snapped will receive $18 million in a settlement with Paramount Pictures.

In September 2010, Gabriella Cedillo was working as an extra on "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." During the filming of a scene in Hammond, Ind., involving 80 extras, the 24-year-old bank teller was sitting in a Toyota Scion being pulled by a tow cable.

But the cable snapped, whipped around, crashed through the Scion's windshield and struck Cedillo in the head, according her complaint. The Scion plowed into a median barrier and rolled a mile down the road.

After the accident, the film studios publicly announced that they would take care of Cedillo's medical bills, but "in reality, these companies did everything they could to avoid payment," Smith said in a press release" (1)

Wheeljack/Que Gallery

"Transformers Dark of the Moon's Wheeljack - known as Autobot Que on screen and in Japan - is one of a pair of toys that were slated for the ill-fated last assortment of the Dark of the Moon toyline. Never released at US retail, the toy has only seen release in Japan, and there's a limited release due to hit Asia any day now - and with that new release, we thought now would be a great time to share with you our gallery of this toy; to demonstrate why it's such a shame this one never got a wider release. Don't get me wrong - he's far from flawless as toys go, but Wheeljack's toy is a great representation of the onscreen character, has stacks of accessories, and is just fun to fiddle about with." (1)

HISHE; Transformers Play Battleship

How it should have ended (HISHE) have uploaded a video parody, mocking 'Battleship' check it out now if your a fan of Transformers or Battleship.

Arms Micron Photos - Bulkhead, Arcee, and EZ Collection Wheeljack

"These photos detail the voyager-sized Bulkhead, deluxe-sized Arcee, and the EZ Collection (the equivalent of Legends in the US) Wheejlack. The Japanese editions comes with the Arms Microns and also some labels, and these photos allows us to see these figures sans labels. A careful eye will note the lack of paint applications that the US versions have and just how much these depend on the labels to enhance the look. Also noteworthy is that Bulkhead and Arcee do not sport shiny plastic as some fans thought with the original promotion photos"

Transformers Prime Optimus Maximus review

"The Transformers Prime Cyberverse series is bringing back that mightiest of Transformers - the massive Citybots! Back in Generation 1 these were the likes of Metroplex, Trypticon and Fortress Maximus, huge robots capable of transforming into bases for the smaller toys, and equally big battle station modes."

"Recently released in Singapore, the Transformers Prime Cyberverse Optimus Maximus is a return to this concept. He's a big robot version of Optimus Prime capable of transforming into a battle station which can seat up to nine Cyberverse toys! Is this a return to the form of the original Citybots, or just one that's strictly for the kids? Fortunately you only need to read on to find out, as 2005 Boards member pingth has bought an Optimus Maximus and has very kindly provided us with the first review of this new Transformers base-bot!"

You can check out the full review over on TFW2005.
